Dotwise (“the app”, “we”) is an offline puzzle game. We designed it to collect as little data as possible. The app does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or precise location.
Your progress, coins, hints, streak, settings and a randomly generated anonymous player ID are stored only on your device. We do not upload or back up this data.
If you allow analytics, we use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (for example: which screens are opened, levels started or completed, hints used). This is pseudonymous (tied to an app-instance identifier, not to you personally) and helps us improve the game. You can turn this off anytime in Settings → Privacy → Allow analytics.
The app offers optional rewarded ads (you choose to watch one in exchange for a hint or coins). Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may use a device advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. Ads require an internet connection; the rest of the game works offline. You are never forced to watch an ad.
The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Analytics and ads are anonymous.
We do not sell your data. Anonymous analytics and advertising data are processed by Google under their respective privacy policies.
You can disable analytics in Settings, reset all local data from Settings → Reset progress, or simply uninstall the app to remove all on-device data.
